

Joy Salinas
Passionate about music since childhood, Joy Salinas began playing the guitar at the age of 14. In the 1980s, she moved to Italy, and in 1987, she won an audition for the show G.B. Show, where she participated in 7 episodes. In 1989, she released her first single, Paris Night, which gained some success in France. The breakthrough came in the summer of 1991 with the single Rockin' Romance, produced by Max 'n' Frank Minoia. At the same time, she released her debut album titled Joy Salinas, which also included the song The Mystery of Love, featured in the soundtrack of the film Vacanze di Natale '91.
In 1992, she collaborated with DJ Herbie on the single Party Time. In 1993, she released the single Bip Bip, composed by Frank Minoia and produced by Max 'n' Frank Minoia, which preceded her second album of the same title, also arranged and composed by Max 'n' Frank Minoia. The album's single Hands Off was also a hit. These singles stayed in the charts for months and reached positions 76 and 86, respectively, in the annual singles charts.
In 1994, Joy released the singles Gotta Be Good (produced by Mario Fargetta) and Calling You Love, a summer hit of 1994, featuring rapper Kevin Orlando Ettienne. In 1995, she released Let Me Say I Do, composed, produced, and arranged by Frank Minoia.
The year 1997 brought her album Dream in Paradise, which included the single Give Me a Break, featured in the soundtrack of the film Panarea. After a few more singles, Joy Salinas returned in 2013 with an album titled Starlight.
